Echoes

The series "Echoes" examines how Italian culture focuses on the past and how this past is part of the country's character and ethos. It captures a place where “modern Europe” and history are not defined but overlap. These overlapping elements appear creatively in interiors, exteriors, and portraits images depicting history as a living being and a visualization of a historical past by creatively expressing what one sees in a daily routine in Italy beyond the usual urban experience.

The series was photographed on 35mm film and was completed during a 6 month stay in Siena, Italy in 2016.
